Training secession is closed
DSC Radio's, Rescue 21 and
the EPIRB

Will
Sanders will present a program on DSC Radio's, Rescue 21 and the
EPIRB systems on March 25 at 1900 Hrs at the Flotilla. This is a PE
program that provides information, new technology and limitations of
these systems. Members may attend this program at no personnel cost.
Those that use marine radio's especially coxswains, crew and watch
standers are encouraged to attend.
ICS 100 & 200 and IS 700 & 800 have now been
entered as Currency Maintenance tasks for the competencies listed below.
To do so, those four tasks have been moved from Professional Development
in Task Capture, to Currency Maintenance. These tasks are now listed as
Biennial {2-A(C)} which means the system will not set members REYR until
31 December 2007. They will show as red until entered.
NOTE: They are a one time courses, once you
have completed them that's it, it's good for life, but you may choose to
take reviews to stay sharp.
ISC 100 and IS 700 have been added to the
following competencies:
Crew
Air Crew
Air Observer
Interpreter
Watchstander
Fingerprint Technician
Aid Verifier
Minor Aid Technician
Personal Watercraft Operator (In Training)
ICS 100 & 200 and IS 700 & 800 have been added to the following
competencies:
Coxswain
Aircraft Commander
First Pilot
Copilot
Personal Watercraft Operator.

Staff officers need to ensure members in
activities they manage know if they need the above courses/workshops and
make sure those members know the dates.
