The Coast Guard Auxiliary at Hernando Beach conducts a semi-monthly presentation on the Auxiliary, its organization and its activities in our area at the Flotilla 15-08 training center, 4340 Calienta St, in Hernando Beach. Anyone interested in learning about the Auxiliary and the part it plays in supporting the many-faceted role of the U.S. Coast Guard is invited to attend. Our Flotilla is one of the largest on the west coast of Florida, provides our boaters with a number of boating safety courses and free boat safety inspections, and extends the Coast Guard's ability to provide emergency rescue support on the water. This presentation is also an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in marine safety and considering ways they might help to learn about opportunities available in the Auxiliary.
